Get ready for a vibrant day of community spirit and summer fun at the SCARBOROUGH COMMUNITY SUMMER FAIR! Hosted by TCCSA, this exciting event is set to take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the TCCSA Scarborough Centre, located at 325 Bamburgh Circle, Unit A107, Scarborough, Ontario, M1W 3Y1. This fair is designed to bring together families, friends, and neighbours for an afternoon packed with engaging activities, essential services, and delightful experiences. It's a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate the rich diversity of our Scarborough community.
The fair will feature a wide array of activities thoughtfully organized into several key hubs, ensuring there's something for everyone. Dive into the Connect with Local Services area where you can engage with valuable community organizations such as TCCSA, CLEAResult, the Toronto Public Library, and Toronto Public Health. These services are vital resources, offering information and support for various aspects of community living, from educational opportunities to health and wellness initiatives. Learn about local programs, sign up for services, and discover how these organizations contribute to making Scarborough a better place for all.
Our Knowledge Hub is another cornerstone of the fair, providing insightful sessions and practical demonstrations. Attendees can learn life-saving skills with St. John Ambulance through their "Stay Calm, Act Fast: Choking First Aid & Rescue" workshop, a crucial session that requires pre-registration to ensure proper instruction. Additionally, learn about "One Card Save Big: Usage of PRESTO Card," helping you navigate public transit more efficiently and economically. Perhaps one of the most exciting cultural experiences is "Discover Cultures Through Taste," offering delicious samples of Mango Lassi and Samosa, an activity that also requires pre-registration due to its popularity. Don't miss the lucky draws at the end of each session in the Knowledge Hub!
For those looking for a bargain or unique items, the Grab & Go Market is the place to be. Here, you can find free branded clothing, cosmetics, and even free PRESTO cards. However, participation in the Grab & Go Market requires pre-registration, and attendees must present their PR card or Convention Refugee document and landing paper to claim their tickets. Each participant can join Grab & Go once and grab a maximum of three items, with all giveaways available only while supplies last. It’s a wonderful initiative to provide essential goods and support to community members.
Families with children will find endless entertainment at the Kids Activities zone. Let your children unleash their creativity with custom button making and various arts & crafts projects. There will also be a host of exciting games and prizes, guaranteeing smiles and laughter throughout the afternoon. This dedicated area ensures that our younger attendees have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Prioritizing community well-being, the Health Screening & Information booth offers important health checks. You can get a blood pressure reading, cardiac rhythm checking, and receive valuable information from the Family Health & Team Booth and the Wellness Department Booth. These screenings are for informational purposes only and are not intended for diagnosis but serve as an excellent first step in monitoring one's health and learning about preventive care.
